A very disappointing production of Macbeth.
Firstly, the actors mumbled - to a level I've never really experienced before!
I left having absolutely no idea what had happened. They'd fiddled with the plot, removing key parts like the witches (?!?!?!), but I had very little idea what they left behind.
I also felt a little like it was 'style over substance'. The lighting and set design were decent, and a huge part of the plot revolved around the live projection from CCTV cameras. I thought it was an interesting effect, however I felt it was relied on too heavily, and began to detract from the acting.
All in all, it was a pretty disappointing production. Booh.
