To be honest, this was a slightly disappointing production.
There were so many excellent elements - the set designs was brilliant, and the lighting worked well with it too.
However, the sound mixing was appalling - for a small(-ish) space, there were just too many speakers. When singing, you could tell the performers were fighting against the instruments just to be heard, and everything was pushed so high that it was actually painful to listen to! Several people ended up spending the second half in the foyer, which is definitely not ideal.
As well as this, some of the performers were good, but others did just deliver every line by shouting - potentially lacking a little nuance there...
Overall, disappointing.
